AIScanner Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how AIScanner (“AIScanner”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you use the AIScanner Android application.
1. Information We Access
AIScanner may request access to your device camera when you choose to scan a document. You may also choose an image from your device gallery.
Camera and image access is used only to create scans and extract text requested by you. AIScanner does not access your camera or gallery unless you choose to use features that require such access.
2. Document Processing
Scanned images, PDFs, and OCR results are processed and stored locally on your device unless you choose to share or export them.
AIScanner does not operate an account system and does not upload your documents to our own servers.
OCR (text recognition) is provided using Google ML Kit. Text recognition runs on your device. The document image and recognized text are not sent to Google by the ML Kit text-recognition feature.
3. Advertising
The free version of AIScanner uses Google AdMob to display banner and interstitial advertisements.
AdMob may process information such as device or advertising identifiers, approximate location derived from IP address, app information, diagnostic information, and ad interactions to deliver, measure, and improve advertising, subject to Google's policies and available device or regional controls.
AIScanner Premium is a one-time purchase that removes AIScanner banner and interstitial advertisements.
Google Play handles the payment process. AIScanner does not receive or store your payment card details.

4. Sharing and Exporting
When you select Share or Export, Android sends the selected file to the app or service you choose.
The recipient's privacy policy applies to any further processing of the shared or exported file. AIScanner does not control how third-party recipients process information after you choose to share a file with them.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
Your scans remain on your device until you delete them, delete the app's data, or uninstall AIScanner.
You can delete exported files using your device's file manager or gallery.
AIScanner does not maintain a server-side copy of your documents.
6. Children's Privacy
AIScanner is a general-purpose productivity application. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Security
Because documents are stored locally on your device, you should protect your device with a secure screen lock and avoid sharing files with recipients you do not trust.
While we take reasonable steps to protect information handled by AIScanner, no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time when AIScanner's features or data practices change.
Any updated version of this Privacy Policy will be posted at the applicable privacy policy URL with a new effective date.
